Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks Adds Some Scottish Heritage With Turnberry Partnership

The Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks are happy to announce that they are welcoming Ayrshire hotel Trump Turnberry, A Luxury Collection Resort as a partner for their 2019/20 season.

Turnberry will join the ranks as one of the team’s main sponsors, as they continue to pioneer the sport in the country as Scotland’s only professional basketball team boasting four players who took part in the 2017 Commonwealth Games and seven Scottish Internationals.

A mainstay of Scottish hospitality and golf for over 100 years, the iconic resort is well known for its 103 phenomenal bedrooms, outstanding dining options, legendary golf courses and luxury spa and fitness suites.

Duncan Smillie, owner of Glasgow Rocks, said: “We’re delighted to have Turnberry on board for the season. As Scotland’s only professional basketball team, we feel being associated with a brand that has over 100 years of Scottish heritage is a great fit. The fact we are able to partner with such large international organizations speaks volumes to the direction and growth of the Rocks brand. We’re incredibly grateful for the support they are providing us with – Go Rocks!”

Ralph Porciani, General Manager at Trump Turnberry, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Glasgow Rocks this season. We’ve always played our part when it comes to supporting Scottish sport and promoting an active lifestyle. We wish the team the very best of luck throughout the new season and hope that even more Scottish people are inspired to become involved in basketball.”
