It was a slow start for both teams as they struggled to get off the mark. London jumped out to an early 8-2 lead forcing Rocks into an early timeout. Both teams continued to struggle from the floor as they missed shots and Lions’ big man, Kervin Bristol made it tough in the paint for Rocks and Kieron Achara did the same on the other end. As the 1st quarter came to a close, Rocks trailed London 15-10.

The shooting woes would continue for Rocks in the second quarter as they could only muster 10 more points before the half was done. Meanwhile they had little answer for Lion’s Brandon Peel who scored 9 of his 21 points in the 2nd quarter. However, it was still a very low scoring affair as both teams went to the locker room, with Lions leading Rocks 30-20.

Despite some early efforts by Bouna Ndiaye and Bo Zeigler to cut into the lead, it was still not enough to trim the lead as Brandon Peel continued to cause problems for Rocks. Lions began to pull away from reaching distance as they went into the final quarter with a 13-point lead.

Rocks couldn’t pull it back in the fourth despite an early surge that was quickly put to bed by some calls that didn’t go their way. When it was all said and done, London Lions came away as the victors in Birmingham, winning 68-54.
