Rocks go 2/2 at home after win against Wolves

After previously defeating Manchester Giants on Friday, Rocks won their second consecutive home game under interim coach Vincent Lavandier on Sunday night, defeating the traveling Worcester Wolves 92-79.

Rocks jumped out to an early 11-4 lead on the back of 6 points in the paint by Ali Fraser. Tadas Rinkunas would also check into the game early and score 8 straight points to put Rocks up 19-12 at the end of the 1st quarter.

However, Rocs let it slip away from them in the second. Despite a strong start to the quarter with 6 straight points from Kieron Achara, Rocks would then go scoreless for half the quarter, allowing Wolves to tie it up and then take a 38-45 lead into the break.

However, Rocks were quick to come out of the break, score the first 7 points and tie the game with a Greg Pryor pull up.

Building on this momentum, Rocks built and then sustained a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game, eventually allowing them to take a 92-79 victory at home.

A solid outing by Kieron Achara saw him finish as the games highest scorer with 21 points. Meanwhile, Bo Zeigler also added 19 points and Ali Fraser added 13.
