Rocks are looking to get their first win in fron of the Rocks fans this weekend as they welcome Worcester Wolves to the Emirates.
As the two sides are drawn against each other in the first round of the 2018-19 BBL Trophy, this will be an early chance for head coach Darryl Wood to see his Trophy foes in action and see where the guys stack up. As well as the cup tie, Wood will be looking for a reaction out of his men after yet last weekend’s doubleheader was packed with losses.
After opening up their season with a win at home over Plymouth, Wolves themselves have been struggling as much as us early on, picking up just the one win and sitting with a 1-5 record. They have lost the majority of their games by large margins however, facing some top-level teams in the BBL.
Worcester are a team of balanced scoring getting consistent contributions from all of their players. They have many players to watch out for; Darell Combs is currently dropping 19.5 point per game off the bench, however, has only featured in 4 matchups so far this season after arriving late in the season. New signing Adam Thoseby has become an instant starter this season, starting all six games and currently dropping over 15 points a night.
Miki Servera, another new signing has been a huge part of the Wolves offence, not quite managing double digits in scoring, the facilitator is averaging near 6 assists a game, with 35 in total, the most in the team so far.
Questions will be asked of the Glasgow boys, with tip at 5pm on Sunday 28th October, make sure you get tickets for the Emirates and make sure you show your support to get the boys over the line.
