This Sunday Rocks play host to Manchester Giants in the semi-final of the BBL Cup to decide who will go on to face London Lions in the Final on the 27th of January in Birmingham.
This will be both teams third matchup so far this season, with Rocks taking the first two games already this season in the BBL Cup and the league. Rocks took the win in their last Matchup in the Cup, winning 77-85, therefore giving them an 8-point aggregate difference heading into Sunday’s fixture. Manchester have hit a run of form of late however, comfortably defeating both Sheffield Sharks and Surrey Scorchers away from home.
The ones to watch in this game will be big man and BBL Player of the Month for November, Willie Clayton who so far this season is posting averages of 18 points and 15 rebounds per game. American wing, Torey Butler is also on a bit of hot streak, averaging 20 points per game in his last three outings including a season high 30 points in Giant’s last game against Surrey Scorchers.

Along with Clayton and Butler, the Giants are getting effective minutes from their guards with Callum Jones and Mike McCall Jr each scoring 15 points and 14 points respectively for the Manchester side.
Rocks will have a number of threats to be aware of on Sunday night when Giants come to town but they have already shown their ability to beat Giants away from home.
We caught up with Coach Darryl Wood as we prepare to take on Manchester Giants in the Semi-Final of the BBL Cup this weekend.
