Rocks prepare for double-header on the road

Rocks are back on the road this weekend as they look to secure Playoff contention against London City Royals and Surrey Scorchers. Depending on the results from Friday night, one win this weekend could be enough to secure a playoff spot and two wins could secure 4th place for the Rocks.

First up on Saturday night, Rocks will travel to London to face London City Royals. Rocks have had mixed results with the BBL Trophy winners this season but claimed victory over them in their last matchup, defeating the London side 98-81 at the Emirates.

Royals have been on a poor run of form of late, losing 4 out of their last 5 games. On top of this they will be coming off a back-to-back against Sheffield on Friday night and are likely to be carrying some wear from the night before.

Rocks will be looking for their first win at Crystal Palace on Saturday night and will need to look out for the many threats that Royals pose to their opposition. With a frontcourt of Matthew Bryan-Amaning, will Neighbour and Ashley Hamilton, and a backcourt of Ed Lucas and Wes Washpun, it will be no easy feat dethroning the Royals on Saturday night.

Rocks then face a very short turnaround as they tip-off against Surrey Scorchers less than 20 hours after their matchup with Royals. Although Surrey sits at the bottom of the league, they still have threats such as Tayo Ogendegbe and Quincy Taylor who have been lethal from the guard spot all season.

Rocks comfortably defeated the Scorchers in their last matchup back in November but it was a close affair in their first matchup at the start of the season. Nevertheless, tired legs could prevail, making this a tough match for the Rocks.

Rocks take on London City Royals at 7:30 PM on Saturday followed by a trip to Surrey Scorchers at 2:00 PM on Sunday. You can watch both games on
