Rocks kicked off the game with a 10-0 start over the visitors thanks in no small part to the work of Ali Fraser who scored 5 points in the early going. This quickly forced Riders coach, Rob Paternostro into a timeout.

Rocks kept up the tempo in the second half as guards, Greg Pryor and Tadas Rinkunas checked into the game and made an immediate impact off the bench, each opening their scoring tally with 5 points in the quarter. Rocks were still very much in control at the end of the first half as they went to the locker room up 53-42.
